Pizza Dough

Ingredients: 

  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 packet active dry yeast (2.25teap)
  • 3.25 cups all purpose flour
  • Salt
  • ¼ evoo

Directions:  
1. In mixer combine 3cups of flour and salt

2. Add yeast mixture and evoo – mix well.

3. Knead at medium speed. After about 3 minutes, if sticky add some flour, if dry add warm water.

4. Shape dough into ball by stretching the outer surface and tucking under ball.

6. Grease large bowl with oil and place dough in the bowl and turn to coat in oil.

7. Cover tightly with plastic wrap and leave in warm place for 30 minutes.

8. Roll to about .25inch thick, thinker at edges.

9. Lightly brush all over with oil.

10. Add on sauce and toppings.

11. Cook for 12 minutes at 425 degrees.

I have found that the flour measurement is all over the place with this dough depending on the weather, humidity, etc. Start at 3 cups and be prepared to add (much) more to get the right consistency.
