We set an alarm for day 3 so as not to have a repeat of day 2. We got up and moving in record time and where on the road. We crossed into Arkansas in about an hour
We stopped at the welcome center which was the oldest looking center we stopped at, but there was a nice garden in the front.
And that was probably the most remarkable thing we felt the need to stop for in AR. Lets be honest, its not that exciting of a state. At least there is nothing off I-40 that looked remarkable.
We stopped for lunch at a McAlister’s Deli, a chain in the southern United States. They have really good salads and after 2 days on the road I wanted something green.
What we did have was some awesome scenery, which I was thrilled about. It has not been that cold down south so the trees still have most of their leaves.
From then on out it was just driving, and driving, and more driving. Till finally…
We crossed over into Oklahoma soon after seeing that sign and then it was just 2 more hours till the house.
We actually made it into town a bit earlier than we thought we would and proceeded to grab some dinner and collapse on the couch.
So as you can tell, Day 3 was not that exciting. We could have probably found some fun things to check out, but we knew it was the last day in the car and we wanted out of the car as soon as possible.
I still have Day 4 of the roadtrip to post (unpacking!) and all of my pictures are slowly uploading into a gallery for all to see.

Glad to hear that you arrived safe and sound!
