Roadtrip – Day Two

Day Two started out sleepy. I thought we would wake up at a decent hour and get on the road with no problem. Turns out we didn’t wake up till 8:30, finally got moving around 9:15, missing the breakfast at the hotel and had to stop at Hardee’s instead.

We got on 40west and very quickly got off after seeing a sign for a cast iron factory store. Even better was that across the street was a Coleman factory store. So of course we had to take some time to stop and shop. I got a few things for my parents and we set off again.

We drove till we got hungry and spotted a billboard for a bbq place. It was a bit off the highway, but well worth the time it took to get there. You know a bbq place is going to be good when they supply you with a roll of paper towels at the table.

After lunch we headed back on the road.

Down 40West

Because we were a bit behind schedule, we didn’t have the time we wanted to stop and walk around in downtown Nashville. However, we did at least drive around a bit and I really want to go back for a weekend or so. I did see a great deal of cool looking western-wear shops and other cool places. So I figure it is a good idea that we did not stop today. I think I would have spent far too much money.

Downtown Nashville

From our pitstop in Nashville we set our eyes on our place to stop for the night and just went. We didn’t make it into Arkansas like I had hoped, but stopped on the eastern side of Memphis instead.

Night time on 40west

We have an alarm set for tomorrow morning and (depending on what map you look at) should be rolling into Moore, Oklahoma after 7-8hours of driving tomorrow. Which is not bad at all.

But now, it is time for bed. Goodnight all, thanks for reading. :-)
